Helene has worked in family law since she started as a lawyer in 1999.

She is known for her no-nonsense approach balancing excellent legal work with realistic advice.

Helene’s interests in family law are varied and she is happy to accept instructions in all aspects of family law.  She frequently acts in property settlements, children’s matters, child support and spousal maintenance cases.  Helene also drafts and advises clients on Financial Agreements, Consent Orders and Parenting Plans.

She is a skilled and strong advocate and appears in various Courts up to and including at Trial.  The vast majority of Helene’s cases resolve before a Trial, allowing clients to move on with their lives sooner.

Helene has also appeared at the State Administrative Tribunal for Guardianship and/or Administration Orders and at the Magistrates Court to obtain Violence Restraining Orders, or defend against Violence Restraining Order applications.  She has also prepared and presented a successful defence to an Appeal in the Full Court of the Family Court.

She has a vast skill set – combining work as a mediator, lawyer, Independent Children’s Lawyer and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.  This gives her a unique edge in advising clients, as she has experienced many different family situations in her work.  This combination of roles allows Helene to give her clients a rare advantage.

She undertakes all aspects of family law with tenacity, commitment, skill and care.
