Our history

Our firm is a premier family law firm and is one of the longest established in Western Australia.

What’s more we offer a unique insight into family law being a family ourselves of family lawyers.

In 1975, John Athanasiou took over the practice of GES Ferrier from Serge Ferrier (pictured) who went on to become a Judge in the Family Court of Western Australia.

In 2004, John’s daughter Helene joined him. His son George followed in 2007.  In 2010 his other daughter Evangeline joined her siblings after 10 years with a top tier law firm.

In 2013, John retired from the law, leaving his 3 children to take over the reins of Ferrier, Athanasiou & Kakulas.

Helene, Evangeline and George have over 50 years of combined legal experience and represent their clients to the highest standard in a cost effective way.

As part of our team we have a Nationally Accredited Mediator, three Independent Children’s Lawyers and an accredited Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner.
